When
I signed up with ISP Earthlink in the early Nineties,
the small company was responsive and friendly with high
integrity. The bigger the company grew, however, the more
impersonal they became and the less ethical, in my
opinion. Finally, in March 2003, after unauthorized
withdrawals from my bank, I cancelled my account.
I chose E Street
as my Internet service provicer (ISP). The small
Denver-based company offers nationwide dialup access,
regional DSL services, and website hosting. Best of all
for me as a Mac user, they're very Apple-friendly.
Further, E Street's spam filtering
system, Barracuda, defeats most spam attempts by blocking
overt spam or filtering them into a quarantine. I can quarantine
all unknown senders to be backlisted or whitelisted as I wish.
